Designed to provide the knowledge and training to prepare the student for the professionally demanding occupation of a lifeguard. This certification course emphasizes the preventive aspect of aquatic emergencies and the skills training needed to handle an emergency.
Prerequisite: Must be at least 16 years old prior to certification. If participant is under 18 years of age a legal guardian signature is required, pass an endurance swim 500 yards, tread water, swim under water, surface-dive feet first and head first, 100% attendance required. Upon completion of course a certification card will be issued. (Must be 15 to participate)
