Membership Policies
We are a membership based organization. Use of our facilities is reserved exclusively for our membership and guests. Non members may sign up
for specific programs and classes on a space available basis. Non members may only use the facilities three times in a year utilizing a day pass.
Members enjoy priority use of the facility, priority registration in programs and classes, and numerous other benefits.
We encourage long term associations and our membership policy is to offer one year memberships. Normally, with the exception of bonified "part year residents", we will not offer shorter membership periods.
Along with the benefits of membership come the responsibilities of membership. We expect our members to pay their bills on time, respect our policies, take care of our equipment, and honor our code of conduct.
Memberships are non-transferable and after 10 days are also non-refundable.
Quality and service
While we believe that we offer by far the best value in town, you are giving us a significant portion of your disposable income. In return you can expect to receive what you pay for. The facility though old should be clean, our staff should be courteous, our equipment should function as designed and our classes should be scheduled to maximize participation. Whenever we do not measure up to these expectations, do not hesitate to tell us. Either drop a Suggestion or Comment form in the box at the Member Service Desk or better yet speak with a member of the staff.
Registration
Procedures
Classes and programs are held in six-week sessions
with two sessions per registration season (e.g. Spring I and II,
Summer I and II, ect.) We publish a registration bulletin six
weeks prior to the start of each season. Registration for
members is available for both sessions in a season beginning four
weeks prior to the start of the season. Full members may
register for both sessions at the same time. Non-members and
associate members may only register 15 days prior to the beginning
of each session. Registration forms are provided in the
bulletin and are available at the membership services desk in
Stroudsburg and at the Mountain Extension Site. Registration
